Between November 2021 and February 2022, seven women shared details about their alleged sexual encounters with Dave with Insider, claiming he committed sexual misconduct. That February, Dave filed a defamation lawsuit, which was eventually denied; he then filed an appeal before dropping it a year later.

From March 2021 to November 2023, David was in a relationship with Silvana Mojica.

In an April 2023 Instagram carousel post, Silvana shared a photo of herself and David enjoying time in Lake Como, Italy. She captioned the post "best friends," with two hands making a heart emoji.

In May 2019, David was spotted at the Preakness Stakes horse race with a mystery woman. They haven't been seen together since.

In 2017, David went out with Jordyn Hamilton. He accused her of cheating on him with her Soul Cycle instructor around the same time as the relationship ended.

David started dating an equestrian and social media personality named Renee Portnoy (née Satterthwaite) in 2005. They got engaged in 2008, tied the knot in 2009, and separated in 2017, but they don't have kids together.

According to court documents obtained by Distractify, Dave and Renee filed for divorce on March 30, 2023, though the judge dismissed the case on Aug. 1, 2023.

Dave confirmed during a May 2024 Call Her Daddy podcast episode that he and Renee are still legally married. “We didn’t want to split, we didn’t want to change how we’re doing things, so we just want a legal divorce and the judge said, nope, he has too much money and wouldn’t accept it.”

He added that he and his “ex-wife” have “a great relationship” and that they are “best friends.” Despite still being married on paper, Renee too has moved on, romantically, that is.

Between late 2021 and early 2022, Insider published a series of articles detailing several women's sexual assault allegations against David.

The articles featured interview snippets with women who gave accounts of alleged sexual encounters at David's house in Nantucket, Mass., that they say turned violent. "It was so rough I felt like I was being raped … I was literally screaming in pain," one person claimed.

A woman using the name Kayla claimed that she got slapped across the face, injured a rib, and had marks on her body because of an unusually aggressive sexual encounter with David. "Yes, it was technically consensual sex, but that was not the sex I consented to," she claimed.

Another woman alleged being filmed without her consent: "I felt very anxious and embarrassed." The same woman claimed she received unsolicited videos of Dave having sex with other women.

David, who has has repeatedly denied the sexual misconduct allegations, filed a defamation lawsuit against Insider in February 2022. After a judge dismissed it in November 2022, David filed an appeal.

In a February 2023 filing, David dropped his appeal.

The lawsuit was also dismissed with prejudice, which means that it can't be refiled in the future.

So, it's safe to say both parties are trying to put this situation behind them.
